Hello!
I'm Raunak, the creator of this website. I have a passion for exploring different cultures and their deities. As a child, I was fascinated by icons of goddesses, especially the diverse forms I saw during Durga Puja and in the intricate Tibetan paintings. They captured my imagination and curiosity which eventually led me to create a website where I can share information about numerous goddesses in the Indian cultural continent.

Preserving the knowledge, symbols, and icons handed down through generations is something I deeply value. Culture is not just about material things; it also holds spiritual insights and represents the wisdom of many years. Goddesses hold significance beyond the mystical, reflecting our creativity and life experiences, which are deeply meaningful for many people.
About Manidvipa
Manidvipa, meaning the "island of gems," represents the celestial realm of Mahadevi, the supreme goddess in the Shaktism tradition of Hinduism. This website delves into the world of goddesses within the Indian cultural sphere, encompassing the countries and regions of South and Southeast Asia historically influenced by Indian culture or independently evolved with distinct similarities among them. The rich and diverse cultures surrounding different deities in this region have significantly contributed to developing iconography, social values, and rituals, resulting in a diverse pantheon of goddesses.
The primary aim of this website is to provide insights into the myriad forms and significance of these goddesses, covering both individual and groups of goddesses. The information presented is derived from previously published research papers, books, translations, and online sources.
